KPAW - Summer 2024

Kahilu Performing Arts Workshop

KPAW is a two-week summer musical theater and performing arts camp.  Founded in 2011, KPAW introduces youth to dynamic aspects of the performing arts.

Students play acting games that involve physical awareness, improvisation and communication.  They rehearse musical numbers daily, learning songs and dances along with a script co-written by teachers and campers.  Campers participate in daily electives of their choice, including puppetry, accents, songwriting, filmmaking and much more.

At the end of the two weeks, campers perform a show for their 'ohana.  All KPAW teachers are theater professionals from Hawai'i Island, assisted by local high school and college students pursuing a theater education.

Scholarships are available by applying online after completing the online registration.  The scholarship application is found at the bottom of the registration confirmation form, which will be emailed to the applicant.
