Spring 2025 Kahilu Performing Arts Classes (KPAC)

Acting and musical theatre class taught by Beth Dunnington

The Kahilu Performing Arts Class (KPAC) acting / musical theatre workshop is a once-a-month, three-and-a-half hour class, taught by Beth Dunnington, director of the Youth Troupe, for students ages 9 through 29 who want to be part of the Kahilu Theatre Youth Troupe.

This is an acting / musical theatre troupe that’s been in residence at the Kahilu since 2011. The Youth Troupe members train at the theatre and perform in musicals and concerts. While the shows are audition based, anyone who wants to train with the Youth Troupe can join this KPAC workshop. The classes include theatre games and improv; monologue and scene work; and song performance (acting the song).

This semester's classes will be held on Sundays on the main stage and Mike Luce Studio of the Kahilu Theatre.  Each class is from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Dates for the classes are - January 12; February 9; March 30; and April 13.

Scholarships are available by applying online after completing the online registration.  The scholarship application is found at the bottom of the registration confirmation form, which will be emailed to the applicant.  If the scholarship application is approved, the class fee is $30 ($24 application fee + $6 registration fee).

Tuition for the course is $125.00 plus a $6.00 registration fee for each applicant.

Class size is limited, and students are accepted on a first come first served basis.
