"Adult ballet with Amanda has become one of those parts of my schedule that is absolutely non-negotiable. Her spirit and love of dance shine through in every class and she is such a wonderful teacher! Aside from the incredible training we receive with Amanda it’s also such a privilege to dance on the stage at Kahilu Theatre! After being in the audience for many shows, knowing that I get to dance on that same stage is kind of mind-blowing!" – Jazmin Hicks

"Adult Ballet class has been an uplifting, empowering, strength building and genuinely fun and safe experience. I am 74 years old, have a metal hip and wondered if ballet at this stage of my life would be too much for me. But after the very first class, those doubts melted away. Class is held on the performance stage of the Kahilu Theatre, an incredibly wonderful venue. Amanda creates a warm, respectful and encouraging environment. She explains and demonstrates every movement and offers gentle modifications and options for different skill levels, so you feel challenged but never overwhelmed. You learn technique, ballet vocabulary and reconnect with movement in a way that is joyful and empowering. In addition to building strength I have improved my balance and posture and have rediscovered the vital connection between my mind and the movement of my body. The class is an incredibly rewarding experience that has become the highlight of my week. I would encourage anyone, no matter their age or dance experience to give it a try." – Nancy Denz
