Always wanted to write down stories from your life but didn’t know where to start? Start here. This writing-focused class for seniors uses guided prompts to help participants develop personal stories drawn from memories, life experiences, and imagination. Basic elements of the Meisner acting method are incorporated as supportive tools to help writers connect with their work and confidently share their pieces aloud. Class structure and assignments are customized to each participant’s goals, whether that’s journaling, storytelling, or preparing a piece for public presentation. No prior writing or acting experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Scholarships are available by applying online after completing the online registration. The scholarship application is found at the bottom of the registration confirmation form, which will be emailed to the applicant. If the scholarship application is approved, the class fee is $30. Tuition for the course is $160 plus a $6.00 registration fee for each applicant. Class size is limited, and students are accepted on a first come first served basis.
